Flatmatcher.co.uk is an online service that allows our registered users to create unique profiles that are used for the purposes of advertising oneself as in need of a property, in need of a flat mate, or to advertise a property for rental. Our users can search for available properties within a desired area, with the ability to filter results based on various attributes such as required amenities, proximity and rent. Users who are searching for potential tenants may filter results based on attributes such as age, whether the person smokes, gender and sexual orientation. These functions aim to provide a means to tailor a result fitting to the users’ requirements. Once a match has been found, interested parties may send their contact details to the respective landlord or tenant via our online SMS service, at a cost of £1.50 (inc. VAT) plus Standard Network Charge. To better promote oneself or ones property, users can upload pictures and edit their profiles at any time.

Information About You

Flatmatcher.co.uk collects user submitted information to verify and authenticate its users. This information then becomes part of the respective users profile. The information includes: Name, Age, Gender, Language spoken and whether the user is a smoker or not, and is used to optimize searches by other registered and non-registered users. Users may also add a ‘blurb’ or short introduction about themselves, which is also displayed along with their profile. All information will only be used for the purpose for which it has been submitted, and is treated as confidential unless you have given explicit permission for its release.

Security

Flatmatcher.co.uk user accounts are protected by user-created passwords. Flatmatcher.co.uk takes all available measures to ensure that these passwords and other such information remain private. All information is only accessible by the user themselves, and authorized members of Flatmatcher.com staff. Whilst this is the case, we can not accept responsibility for any unauthorized access, entry, software or hardware failure or any other factors resulting in a security compromise to user data.
