Landlords on this website have chosen the option of renting privately, without using a letting agent. They are trying to save cash, which in turn, may reap benefits for you.

Private landlords have often had their rental income hiked up by a letting agent, so you could be in for a better deal.

By registering, you will also receive daily or weekly updates on new properties added that match your search criteria, be it student housing or a riverside apartment.

This is how our service works:

1. Set up your profile, specifying what you are looking for, by registering after clicking the green button below.

2. Landlords and other prospective tenants/flatmates see your profile and they can send their contact details directly to you.

3. At the same time you can search properties and if you see something which ticks your boxes, you can send your contact details to the landlord or prospective flatmate.

4. Once you have sent your contact details to someone, or someone sends their contact details to you, you may then make contact directly on the phone and meet or arrange a viewing – it’s up to you! 

The contact process is done via SMS, which only costs you £1.50 + standard network charges. However, if another user (landlord or flatmate) contacts you, you are not charged - so it really pays to have an attractive profile.

Flatmatcher effortlessly puts you in touch with the landlord or flatmate directly, saving you masses of time that would be spent shopping around estate agents - demanding credit/reference fees upfront. 

5. Landlords that are keen to let their property may have subscribed for our Silver or Gold Membership. This means they have paid to advertise their property and have displayed their contact details, allowing you to pick up the phone and call them immediately.
